Caroline

 

Dr Caroline Howe, DClinPsych, BSc Psychology is a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years experience working in the NHS.

 

Caroline completed her undergraduate degree at Glasgow University and qualified in Clinical Psychology in 2001, through the Oxford Doctoral course. Since qualification Caroline has worked in Paediatrics, Neonatal, Enuresis and Encopresis care and child and adolescent mental health (CAMHS). She has Chartered status with the British Psychological Society (BPS).

 

She thoroughly enjoys working with children, young people and their families using evidence based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), with attention to systemic factors and has an interest in Compassion Focused Therapy and the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

 

Caroline recently worked for seven years in a local Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) offering specialist mental health assessments and delivering CBT for anxiety disorders and depression.

 

She provided supervision while working in CAMHS and is currently a supervisor for the Anxiety and Depression in Young People (AnDY) Research Unit, University of Reading, which assesses and treats young people for anxiety and depression.
